Joan La Perish - "Through Welcomed Ears"

The improv-heavy elctroacoustic group Joan La Perish provide a welcoming and loose conceptualization of an improv group channeling LEYA, claire rousay and Caroline in their approach to the avant-garde through a decidedly pop leaning lens. Towards the end of the track, vocals are present, shepherding the track into deeper emotional territory as an extension of the track’s purpose of, “holding the listener's hand and sharing good company as they trail through pleasant, anxious, and triumphant times. TWE describes a promised land–uncanny, withheld, and devastating. It is intimately known to others, and they speak of it passionately. Seemingly familiar but abstract and unattainable, perhaps it's just a trick of the light.”
