When the world is on fire, we can miss the riots happening outside our door. With so much exposure to omnipresent terror and turmoil and never-ending sea of distractions at our fingertips – can we be forgiven for missing the big stuff happening beneath our noses? The Dublin-based Silverbacks take this to task through their jittery, overly caffeinated post-punk. Produced by Girl Band bassist Daniel Fox, the three-guitar attack of Silverbacks recall The Fall, The Hecks, Preoccupations and This Heat in their hypnotic minimalism. It’s hard to hear the sirens outside when you are laser focused on writing this generations great protest song. Anyone for a Pepsi?
