KHYAAM HAQUE – “WITH COUNTLESS CRIMSON STARS”

On Khyaam Haque’s album “Most Things are Beautiful” the artist approaches the end of his twenties, settling in after a decade of finding his place in the world. “With Countless Crimson Stars” does a beautiful job narrating those moments when there seemed to be a place in the world for you. Indebted to the work of pianists like Akira Yamaoka, Nobuo Uematsu and Ryuichi Sakamoto, Haque balances stately drones with poignant piano lines just obscured enough to fade into the middle distance.
