Written in the midst of a break up, Cow’s 8 minute barn-burner of a track cycles through all of the stages of grief in record time. While the track’s extended verse is categorically subdued and downcast – shuffling along at the same pace you would walk down the street muttering all of the reasons why the inevitable seems so impossibly foreign – it’s guitars speak volumes and in complex emotional shades. Guitars soar, whine, cry, exclaim and beseech – ripping massive holes through Marshall stacks as well as all of those justifications that you’ve built up so strongly that say you share none of the blame. It’s a powerful track that recalls bands like Sonic Youth, Unwound and Karate.
