DIVIDE AND DISSOLVE - "DENIAL (BEARCAT REMIX)"

Following up on a trifecta of remixes from Chelsea Wolfe and Moor Mother, the London-born U.S. based dancefloor therapist BEARCAT adds a heavy, propulsive rhythmic contribution to “Denial”. Emphasizing Takiya Reed’s deeply vocal saxophone and the deep thud of the duo’s approach lurching, hypnotic metal, BEARCAT’s deep emphasis on marrying music and message is summed up in her statement on the piece, ““The sax really screamed to me, really obsessed with how Takaiya can make an instrument sound like a vocal and other instruments. The title had a big part in my choice too, denial plays a huge part in the functionality of white supremacy. I also think we are all in denial to some degree functioning under capitalism with any consciousness you’d kind of have to have to get through the days.” Divide and Dissolve continue to situate themselves as one of the most vital bands making music today.
