The Queens, NYC based multi-instrumentalist Andrew Cosentino presents this fine piece of plains-dusted, post-folk meditation shifts in subtle but powerful ways into more abstract territory towards the last 3/4’s of the track.  Starting as a plaintive acoustic composition with tiny speckles of pedal steel, synths and banjo slides into a wash of ambient guitar tones as the track slowly loses firm grasp on the terrestrial plane. From the excellent tape Pepsi Will Bring Back Your Ancestors, “Mimi” should appeal to fans of Lake Mary, Scott Tuma and Daniel Lanois
