Located just next Coney Island in Brooklyn, Brighton Beach is the setting / reflection point for Andrew Cosentino’s latest entry into the expansive catalog of artists using American Primitivist guitar picking as a jumping off point to explore airy territory somewhere between ambient music and folk. Cosentino joins artists like Lake Mary, Padang Food Tigers and Ezra Feinberg in delineating this space between celestial and terrestrial zone, delicate finger picked guitar undergirds some gorgeous modular synth explorations and a heavy, emotional bass line. Beautiful work. We hope to hear more of Cosentino’s work in the future.
